HUNTERS T20 BLAST FINALS

The finals of the Hunters T20 Blast will be held at North Marine Road on Sunday 9 July commencing at 10am. Entry is free to all, with full facilities available including BBQ. 1st Semi-Final - Yorkshire Academy v Scarborough 2nd Semi-Final - Acomb v York Final to be played around 4 pm.

The Yorkshire Diamonds Roadshow are events which will be taking place at cricket clubs across all areas of the county to help do so. The first match of the day was Wykeham, and with captain Jack Milburn winning the toss he elected to bowl. The game started well with Jack taking a fine caught and bowled of the first ball, this was supported with tight bowling throughout, with additional wickets been taken by Charlie Glaves, Will Ward and Thomas Hiley. The Mighty U9's suffered their first defeat of the season, ending a 4 match winning streak after been beaten at home by Cloughton. The team consisting of, Jack Milburn, Beth and Thomas Hiley, Harrison Zakrzewski, Angus Fraser, Owen Burnett, Max Greaves and captained by Lucy Milburn, set the visitors a target of 232 for 5 from 10 overs, a score damaged by some suicidal run outs (or opportunities for coaches).
