The Mighty U9's suffered their first defeat of the season, ending a 4 match winning streak after been beaten at home by Cloughton.

The team consisting of, Jack Milburn, Beth and Thomas Hiley, Harrison Zakrzewski, Angus Fraser, Owen Burnett, Max Greaves and captained by Lucy Milburn, set the visitors a target of 232 for 5 from 10 overs, a score damaged by some suicidal run outs (or opportunities for coaches). The team valiantly defended the total, with a number of good bowling displays, with wickets from Angus Fraser and Beth Hiley. Unfortunately this wasn't enough and Cloughton went onto post a score of 245 for 3 from 10 overs.

Having tasted defeat The Mighties returned to the field for their second match against Wykeham. The toss was won by Captain Lucy, who put the visitors into bat.

Wykeham went onto post a competitive total of 241, with the only wicket been taken by Harrison Zakrzewski.

The Mighties started their response slowly with only 4 scored after the first 4 overs, due to losing 3 wickets.

Then the fight back started with the Mighties own Spice Girls , Lucy Milburn and Beth Hiley, adding a quick fire 27 from the next two overs, this set the game up nicely forJack Milburn and Harrison Zakrzewski to add 23 runs taking the Mighty U9's pass the finishing line to return to their winning ways.

Again well done to all the team and thanks to the U9's coaching team of Dom Hiley and Nick Zakrzewski.
