The outbreak of Covid-19 is extremely concerning and the health and safety of all our Members, staff, volunteers, players, visitors, partners and all who we work with as a Club is paramount to us. The measures outlined below have been put in place to minimise the risk to all involved.
All events at the club have been cancelled or postponed until further notice. This includes functions within the Pavilion complex. Once further information and advice is available, we will provide updates.
Most the Club’s office-based staff will be working remotely from home with the office being managed by a skeleton staff, whilst other staff will stay at home where possible. Where possible, please can any contact with the club be made via email for those working from home to be able to take any action required.
We will continue to maintain a staff presence at the ground to enable the club’s business to continue as normal as possible.
With respect to the cricket season we are working closely with the ECB, Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Durham County Cricket Club and the local cricket leagues to discuss the various options available.
Our senior and junior players have already ceased indoor practice.
With respect to the cricket season, we are working collectively with ECB to consider the game’s response. There are a variety of options under discussion to minimise both the cricketing and financial impact, but the main priority remains, of course, the wellbeing of everyone involved.
This is a very challenging time for everybody, and we continue to appreciate the support, co-operation and understanding that we have been given.
